About

Welcome to Sycamore Family Counseling

I’m Courtney Suddath, a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S), and I’m honored that you’ve taken the time to learn more about my practice. My mission is to provide a safe, compassionate space where women, children, teens, and families can find the support and guidance they need to navigate life’s challenges and foster personal growth.

Background

Courtney Suddath is the owner and Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor at Sycamore Family Counseling. In addition to her counseling services, Courtney supervises Licensed Professional Counselor Associates.

Courtney has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas Tech University and a Master’s degree in Psychology from Houston Baptist University. She has worked with children, teens, adults, and families for over 20 years. Courtney has experience working with children with special needs and their families and helping parents navigate the school system in the best interest of their children and teens. Her focus is to guide individuals and families to change patterns and routines, discover positive and productive communication techniques, and strengthen relationships, increasing success at home, school, and community. Her work with parents is purposed to empower their family by learning effective communication techniques, creating appropriate boundaries within the framework of their family, and gaining tools to help them in parenting their children. Courtney’s ultimate goal in counseling is to give children and families hope and tools to work towards healing what has been negatively affected by the circumstances of life.
